CUT OUT REALITY - LOS ANGELES TRANSITION

2016

Site-specific installation/land art, approximately 2m x 2m / 6 hours

1 performer, prefabricated white bread, cell phones, mini carnations, white costume.

Made and performed by Miriam Kongstad

Cut out reality - Los Angeles transition is an appropriation of the previous work CUT OUT REALITY (2015). Build and performed on location, this version consists of a simplified architectural model of the neighbouring giant: Los Angeles. The installation is temporarily accompanied by a fictive persona and performer trying to catch phone service to keep up business. The work mingles fact and fiction as well as blurring the line between the performers private life and fictive persona.
